Pinellas County Job Corps Center is a new facility built in 2009. The center was built with the latest green technologies including energy efficient systems for water, solar power, heating, cooling, and lighting, as well as recyclable grease traps in the cafeteria. The center uses government-approved, environmentally friendly products. The center also participates in a recycling program.

The center is located on a beautifully landscaped 18-acre campus in the heart of St. Petersburg, Florida. St. Petersburg is Florida's fourth largest city (population 250,000) and the largest city in Pinellas County. St. Petersburg is home to the Salvador Dalí Museum, the Florida International Museum, the St. Petersburg Pier that stretches into Tampa Bay with restaurants and shops, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Fort De Soto Park, the historic Don CeSar Beach Resort, the historic Midtown Royal Theater, the historic Coliseum, and miles of beaches. Pinellas County Job Corps Center is also located near Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball team.
