Jennifer Leedy

Test of Adult Basic Education instructor, spent 27 years as an educator at Big Sandy Community and Technical College, including 16 years as head of the math department. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pikeville College and her master’s and doctoral degrees from Morehead State University in adult and higher education. Now Jennifer enjoys teaching math skills to Job Corps students.

Harold Auxier Jr. - Academics and Life Skills - Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center

Harold Auxier Jr.

CORE/Foundations instructor with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center, teaches National Center for Construction Education and Research CORE/Foundations. He previously taught Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and is certified to teach OSHA, High-Performance Insulation Professionals and NCCER. For nearly 15 years, Harold has been dedicated to ensuring all his students are safely trained to enter construction career technical training classes.

Greg Gamble

has taught high school students at Paintsville High School for nearly 20 years and enjoys partnering with Job Corps to teach social studies to students pursuing their high school equivalency credential. Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Alice Lloyd College, then completed a master’s degree in educational administration and a Master of Arts degree in instructional supervision from Union College.

Gregory Fields

is a Carpentry instructor with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center. His knowledge of carpentry comes from his service in the United States Army and his own construction company. Gregory has many years of teaching experience with Big Sandy Community and Technical College and is one of five National Center for Construction Education and Research instructors on campus providing students with NCCER carpentry credentials.

Deborah Osborne

has served as an instructor with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center for over a decade providing students with career preparation, from Test of Adult Basic Education Reading and Math instruction to high school diploma training. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky and completed her Rank II at Morehead State University. Deborah is certified in elementary, middle school and secondary education in chemistry/science and taught for many years in the public school system before her current role at Job Corps.

Davy Akers

is an Electrical instructor with Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center. His educational background includes a degree in applied science with two separate diplomas: one in industrial maintenance and one in electricity. Davy has many years of electrical teaching experience with Big Sandy Community and Technical College and is one of five National Center for Construction Education and Research instructors on the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps campus, providing students with NCCER electrical credentials.

Christopher Stewart

Advanced Security and Protective Services instructor at Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center, has a vast array of work experience in law enforcement as a corrections officer. Christopher’s educational background includes an associate degree in law enforcement and an associate degree in criminal justice from Big Sandy Community and Technical College and training from the Kentucky Department of Corrections Academy. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement from Eastern Kentucky University.
