He received his bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University. Nicholas enjoys spending his time helping people and contributing to the greater good. 

brings 24 years of experience as a cement mason to his role as Cement Masonry instructor at Joliet Job Corps Center. He graduated from the Operative Plasters and Cement Masons International Association Local 803 apprenticeship program in 2001, completed master instructor training at the National Labor College, and is an OSHA-certified instructor.

Building Construction Technology instructor at Joliet Job Corps Center, is a certified electrician. He graduated from Local Union 134 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers joint apprenticeship training program in 2000. Joseph is now a Building Industry Consulting Services International-certified installer, has been an authorized OSHA trainer since 2010 and has been teaching Electrical courses at Joliet Job Corps for over a decade.

Her education, background in the Police Department, and experience with Emergency Management of Homeland Security and private security have given her insight into methods of instruction that can benefit young adults. 

Building Construction Technology instructor at Joliet Job Corps Center since 2019, has been a union carpenter since the ’70s. He worked in the field for 10 years, then became a carpenter with the Chicago Transit Authority, where he was employed for over 30 years. Mr. Bautista is proficient in five different trades and can easily work as a journeyman in those trades.

Her current role has provided her with experience and insight into office etiquette, business procedures, protocol and how to teach the latest employability skills in an educational setting.
